Folder Test Case

Main steps

• Goto Mail application
• Add an account Default folder in account is listed in Folder area

Add new folder

• Click at Add new folder icon or right click at a default folder and select New folder option in menu
• Add new folder pop up appears
• Input value to Folder name field and click Save button
  

A folder is added new and this folder is displayed in list of My folder area.

Add new sub-folder

• Right click at a folder name in My folder area and select New subfolder option in menu
• Add new folder pop up appears
• Input value to folder name field and click save button
  

A sub-folder is added for selected folder. This sub-folder is listed below selected folder in My folder area

Rename folder

• Right click at a folder name and select Rename option in menu
• Rename folder pop up appears
• Input value to New folder name field and click Save button
  

Current folder name is replaced by new folder name.

Remove folder

• Right click at a folder name and select Remove option in menu
• Confirm message pop up appears ang then click ok button to accept deleting this folder
  

Selected folder is removed from list folder of My folder area

Mark all Read

• Right click at a folder name which has some unread messages and select Mark all Read option in menu
  

All unread message in folder is marked to read message. Text in message line is changed from bold to normal

Move all message in default folder to Trash folder

• Right click at a default folder which has one or more messages
• then select Move all to Trash option in menu
  

All message in selected folder is moved and displayed in Trash folder.

Empty Trash

• Right click at Trash folder and select Empty Trash option in menu
  

All message in Trash folder is removed.

Other checks

Add new folder/Sub-folder

• case 1: Test Add new folder by right click at default folder name
  • Input:
    • Right click at a default folder and select Add new folder option in menu
    • In Add new folder pop up: input value to folder name and click save button
  • Output: A folder is added and Added folder is dislayed in list of My folder area
• case 2: Test Add new folder by clicking at Add new folder icon
  • Input:
    • Click at Add new folder icon in Navigation pane
    • In Add new folder pop up: input valut to folder name and click save button
  • Output: A folder is added and Added folder is dislayed in list of My folder area
• Case 3: Test add new folder when folder name is empty
  • Input:
    • In Add new folder pop up: Do not input value to Folder name field
    • then click save button
  • Output: A warning message shows that "Folder name is required"
• case 4: Test Add new folder when folder name includes special characters
  • Input:
    • In Add new folder pop up: input some special characters to folder name
    • then click save button
  • Output: A folder is added and Added folder is dislayed in list of My folder area
• case 5: Test Add new sub-folder when sub-folder name is empty
  • Input:
    • Right click at a folder name in My folder area and select New sub-folder option in menu
    • Add new folder pop up: do not input value to folder name
    • then click Save button
  • Output: A warning message shows that "Folder name is required"

Rename folder

• case 1: Test Rename folder when new folder name is empty
  • Input:
    • Right click at a folder in My folder area and select Rename option in menu
    • In Rename folder name pop up: do not input value to New folder name field
    • then click save button
  • Output: A warning message shows that "Folder name is required"
• case 2: Test Rename sub-folder when new folder name is empty
  • Input:
    • Right click at a sub-folder in My folder area and select Rename option in menu
    • In Rename folder name pop up: do not input value to New folder name field
    • then click save button
  • Output: A warning message shows that "Folder name is required"
• case 3: Test Rename folder when folder is opening
  • Input:
    • Right click at a folder which opening and select Rename option in menu
    • In Rename folder pop up: input value to new folder name field and click save button
  • Output: Current folder name is replaced by new folder name.

Remove folder

• case 1: Test Remove a folder in My folder arean
  • Input:
    • Right click at a folder in My folder area and select Remove option in menu
    • Confirm message pop up appears and then click Ok button
  • Output: Selected folder and sub-folder in this folder is removed from liist of My folder area
• case 2: Test Remove a sub-folder of folder
  • Input:
    • Right click at a sub-folder of folder in My folder area and select Remove option in menu
    • In confirm message pop up: click OK button
  • Output:
    • Selected sub-folder is removed from list of parent folder
    • Parent folder is still existed in list of My folder area

Mark all read

• case 1: Test Mark all read message of default folder
  • Input:
    • Right click at a default folder which has some unread messages
    • then click Mark all read option in menu
  • Output:
    • All unread message in Selected default folder is marked to read message.
    • Text in message line is changed from bold to normal
• case 2: Test Mark all read message of a folder which added
  • Input:
    • Right click at a added folder which has some unread messages
    • then click Mark all read option in menu
  • Output:
    • All unread message in Selected folder is marked to read message.
    • Text in message line is changed from bold to normal
• case 3: Test Mark all read message of a sub-folder
  • Input:
    • Right click at a sub-folder which has some unread messages
    • then click Mark all read option in menu
  • Output:
    • All unread message in Selected sub-folder is marked to read message.
    • Text in message line is changed from bold to normal

Move all message to Trash folder

• Case 1: Test move all message from default folder to Trash folder
  • Input:
    • Right click at a default folder which has messges into
    • then select Move all to Trash option in menu
  • output: All message in selected default folder is moved and displayed in Trash folder

Trash empty

• Case 1: Test Empty Trash folder
  • Input:
    • Right click at Trash folder which has messages into
    • then select Trash empty option in menu
    • Output: All message in Trash folder is removed
