Connect to Video Conference Rooms
You need to connect to a specific room to send and receive videos and audios. A room can be created by yourself or others and you also can join a room created by others.
1 Create and Connect to a new Room
1. After logging in, you are directed to a form that allows you to connect to a specific room:
- New room: the room's name that you will create and join.
- Create button: click on this button to create and connect to a new room.
2. After connecting to a specific room, you will be directed to a main screen of Video Conference:
This screen contains all small windows including all videos and audios from others in the current room:
- Your window will have first order in all windows and have
icon at the middle of bottom and next to this window. This icon is used to resize the video in this window by clicking it up/down and left/right.
- Window of other users joining this room include:
- The name of that user displayed at the top of his/her window.
- For the window that displays a video, there are three icons at the middle of window's bottom :
: to show the user's profile. When clicking this icon, the
User Profile dialog will appear:
All values for fields:
Nick name,
Gender,
Birthday,
Email,
First Name,
Last Name are gotten from the User Profile in Portal product.
: is used to turn off the audio from that window.
: is used to pause the video of that window.
Note: When you move your cursor to this icon bar, there is a mouse over effects.
- For the window that does not display the video, at the middle of window's bottom, only the icon is shown to view that user's profile.
2 Rooms list tab
The
Rooms list tab: displays the number of users in current rooms list.
- Room: the room name that users are participating.
- Nb User(s): count all number of users who join this room.
3 Users list tab
The
Users list tab: shows the name of users in current rooms list.
- Username: all users participating in Video Conference application.
- Room: the room name that a user is participating.
4 Register private room tab
The
Register private room tab consists of 4 fields:
- Private Room Name: the name of a room that a current user wants to set private.
- Administrator's name: the name of this room's administrator.
- Number of users: the number of users who can join this private room.
- Join the room now: this check box is used to join this private room at once or not.
