eXo Enterprise WebOS

The web as a platform is becoming a reality. Public APIs are available all over the place and many Ajax-based mash-up services are reusing them to build rich client solutions inside the browser. Nevertheless, most applications are still glued in an old fashioned way. So far, portals have tried to aggregate services inside a coherent and secure personalized place but were limited to Web 1.0 technologies. Today, a new type of platform is rising, aimed at moving the desktop into the web.

eXo Platform is a set of products that allows to tie together the web and the desktop, the enterprise and consumer digital lives in a coherent platform on which people can build efficient applications such as Contact Managements, Calendars, Business intelligence, CRM, Document Management Systems and many others.

But with eXo you of course have one entry point to get all this but you also get an unique UI that looks like what people are familiar with in their usual desktop environment. Note that in the same site it is also possible to have more usual layouts pages where applications are displayed in columns or rows.

Furthermore, the User Interface is just a part of the whole system (even if the most impressive for most users). The entire platform is bult upon standards that make it inter operable with huge number of external applications.
