eXo Products Roadmaps

This document provides an overview of the roadmaps of eXo products for the next versions.

The roadmaps given here are for information only and subject to change upon customer sponsorship. If you are willing to sponsor a feature please contact eXo's sales department.

eXo proposes a regular release cycle for all of its products :

• Expected minor release rate : 3 to 4 months
• Expected maintenance release rate : 1 month

A minor (x.y) release introduces new features.

Maintenance (x.y.z) releases correct flaws and establish smaller improvements. These releases are only available to subscribed customers.

Portal

Release 2.5 : December 2008 (Released)

GateIn 3.0 Beta 2 October 2009 (Released)

The eXo Portal project has been merged with the JBoss Portal project and called GateIn. You can find more information about this new project in eXo and JBoss partnership page, and the GateIn project page.

Release 2.3 : March 2008 (Released)

• Workflow engine refactors

• The Browse Content Portlet supports the publication framework
• The Browse Content Portlet is equiped with use cases ("spaces" for an integration into eXo Spaces, "jailed" to force the usage of a drive)

Release 2.5 : July 2009 (Released)

• UI Extension Framework (allows you to extend the file explorer by adding your own actions)
• Contextual action buttons in the File Explorer
